Welcome to CV60! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our CV generation service. By using CV60, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

In Plain English Fill in your details, choose a template (free or premium), and we generate a professional CV delivered via email within minutes. Premium templates cost R85 each or R199 for the full bundle. No subscriptions. No hidden fees.

1. Service Description

CV60 provides a professional CV generation service using premium templates. You enter your information, choose a template, and receive a professionally formatted PDF via email. We offer:

  • Free Templates: 3 professional CV templates at no cost
  • Premium Templates: 7 distinctive pro templates (R85 each)
  • Pro Bundle: All 7 premium templates for R199 (best value)
  • PDF Delivery: Your CV delivered as a downloadable PDF via email
  • Magic Link Editing: Edit and regenerate your CV for 30 days (premium only)

VAT

CV60 is not currently registered for VAT. All prices are inclusive of any applicable fees. VAT registration occurs once annual turnover exceeds R1 million.

3. Delivery

Delivery Method

  • Via Email: Your CV is delivered as a PDF attachment to the email address you provide
  • Timeline: Within 2–5 minutes of payment confirmation
  • Check Spam: If you don't receive it, check your spam/junk folder first

Delivery Delays

In rare cases, delivery may be delayed due to email provider issues, high server load, or payment processing delays. If you don't receive your CV within 10 minutes, contact us at no-reply-cv60@playwithbits.co.za with your Job ID and we'll resend it immediately.

4. Refund Policy (7-Day Money-Back Guarantee)

5. Acceptable Use

You Agree NOT To

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use CV60 to generate content for others commercially (reselling)
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse our system
  • Submit inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • Use automated bots or scripts to abuse the service
Violation = Immediate Termination If you violate these terms, we reserve the right to suspend your access, refuse refunds, and report illegal activity to authorities.

6. Intellectual Property

Your CV Content

  • You Own It: The CV content generated for you belongs to you
  • Use It Freely: Edit, share, submit to employers, use it however you like
  • No Restrictions: We don't claim any rights to your CV

CV60 Platform

  • We Own It: The CV60 website, branding, technology, and platform are our property
  • No Copying: You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works of our platform
  • Trademark: "CV60" and our logo are trademarks of CV60 (registration pending)

7. Limitation of Liability

Important Disclaimer CV60 is a CV generation tool. We do NOT guarantee job offers, interviews, or employment. Hiring decisions are made by employers, not us.

What We're Responsible For

  • Delivering a professionally formatted CV
  • Honouring our 7-day money-back guarantee
  • Protecting your data (see Privacy Policy)

What We're NOT Responsible For

  • Job offers, interviews, or employment outcomes
  • Employer decisions or hiring processes
  • Third-party job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, PNet)
  • Email delivery issues caused by your email provider
  • Errors in information YOU provide (e.g., typos in your name)

Maximum Liability

In the unlikely event of any claim, our liability is limited to the amount you paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • What We Collect: Name, email, CV details, payment info
  • How We Use It: To generate and deliver your CV
  • Data Retention: Automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Third Parties: Afrihost (email), PayFast (payment), Neon/Vercel (hosting)
  • Your Rights: Access, correction, deletion, objection

9. User Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: Providing correct name, email, and job details
  • Reviewing Your CV: Checking the final CV for accuracy before submitting to employers
  • Customisation: Making any final edits as needed
  • Job Applications: Submitting your CV to employers (we don't apply on your behalf)

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

CV60 is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee 100% uptime, error-free operation, suitability for your specific needs, compatibility with all email providers, or employment outcomes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.

  • Consumer Protection Act (CPA): Your rights as a consumer are protected
  • POPIA: Your personal information is protected
  • ECTA: Governs online transactions

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes affecting your rights will be notified by email.

13. Termination

We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. Effect: no refund if terminated for violations, immediate deletion of your data, and loss of access.
